Vera Kirova is Prima Ballerina, director, artistic manager, pedagogue and choreographer of the National Ballet Sofia.
Vera Kirova has received her education in Sofia and has specialized in Bolshoi Theatre in Moskow, in the French Dance Academy and with Maurice Bejart.
The repertoire of Vera Kirova is rich including both classical and modern ballet. Vera Kirova has given highly successful guest-performances in Moskow, Paris, Madrid,Geneve,Roma,Tokyo, in more that 30 countries in Europe, America, Asia and Africa.
She has taken part in a number of International Gala-Concert with world famous ballet stars. In 1986 Vera Kirova has been a tour to Germany, Switzerland, Belgium and Holland with Rudolf Nureyev.
Vera Kirova is a member of the Jury of all International Ballet Competition: Moskow, Jackson, Helsinki, Paris, Luxemburg, Osaka, Varna.
She is winner of the first Prize and of gold medal in International Ballet Competition in Varna and Osaka.
Vera Kirova is a laureate of the highest state prize for art in Bulgaria. She has been awarded the “ Anna Pavlova” and “Tersiphora” prizes of the French Dance Academy
