Matthew Bindley studied dance at the renowned Australian Ballet School. He made
the move to Europe where he danced in Switzerland, France, Germany and Italy. He danced for
companies of all styles from Classical to Contemporary to Dance Theater and has toured extensively
throughout the world. His first position as Ballet Master was for the Staatstheater Nuremberg since
then he has been ballet master for several companies including; Chemnitz, Gießen and eventually
Dessau where he was associate Artistic Director and Choreographed several pieces for the
Anhaltisches Theater Dessau and the world famous Bauhaus. Since 2013 Mr Bindley has been Ballet
Master for the Leipzig Ballet (Dir. Mario Schröder) one of Germanys largest and pre-eminent Ballet
Companies. Mr Bindley has given training to companies around the world, including The Semperoper
Dresden, Luzern and the Cape Town city Ballet.
